Supporting local artists since 1969

Wood is used to create sculpture and various functional items. It is carved by hand, turned on a lathe or assembled to create a finished piece. From its’ beginning as log or tree limb it is cut, shaped, carved, sanded and finished. The artisan is faced with choosing from a variety of materials based upon color, grain, hardness, and shape before beginning a project. The finished piece is generally durable, based upon the type of finish used.

This organization is funded in part by the South Carolina Commission which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
